Educating the mind without educating the heart in no education at all.

Generative Questions:
What are the benefits of using zooburst in your class?
How can storyjumper enrich your class?

We lived in a world in which technology invades us; in fact, most of us have a device whom main functions are related to telecommunications, aren’t it? Just look around you buddy, we have smart phones, computer, tables with us. Do you can understand me? Every single day, they are there, ready to be used by you and me. It is almost impossible to avoid them; want it or not! It is necessary to incorporate technology in our life. Sooner or later, this had to happen.

In order to take advantage of technology, we did a quick researching related some technological tools before class. As usual, we would be focused on education tool and its functions; that is to say, we had researching important data related to terms like Zooburst and StoryJumper, among others. Ahead on time, I found some clues with the purpose of developing my class-work in a good way or at least this was my main aim. Bearing this in mind, I decided to learn on the scratch because my future is waiting for me.

Let us consider what the advantages and disadvantage of these tools. First of all, we have Zooburst and its main features.

 Description about this:

  • It is a digital story telling tool that allows anyone's to create their own 3D pop-up books
  • Also, Books can be shared to anyone using a hyperlink
  • Apart from this, authors can moderate discussions providing the readers to interact with each other.
  • Moreover, it has app in iTunes app store.
  • At least but not last, it can create a story code that can be scanned and direct someone right to your book.

Let us to take into account some pros and cons of it.

                          Pros

  • Allows students to use their imagination to create a pop-up book.
  • Good for all ages.
  • Incorporates technology
  • Allows for all types of creativity
  • Interesting to students and keeps their attention
  • For schools, multiple licensure packages

  Cons
  • Premium accounts for teachers cost money.
  • Can be time consuming.
  • Unless you have a premium account, overall quality of the program is not as useful for students and teachers.

To be honest, I cannot open this tool; in other words, I can not use it. I do not know what the cause was? Just I can not do nothing with this tool. That`s a shame! I would like to see more about it; maybe, it was a technical problem. Anyway, I will ahve better luck next time.

This is a interesting tutorial related to the use of Zooburst.   Keep that in mind!

Moving on my next technological tool.

As a future teacher, how can I use StoryJumper in the classroom?

Well, StoryJumper is a great way for teachers to jump start Creative Writing lesson plans:

Promote writing & literacy

Students could create stories about them, using amazing images, so teachers should encourage through instructions and examples.

Rich, colorful art library

This tool has a huge art library, which is stocked with thousands of full-color props and scenes, including everything from simple shapes to complex mythological animals and characters. A impotant point is that learners could mix and match scenes and share their books with each other.

 Flexible platform

One of the most striking feature of this tool is that students can also draw their own pictures by hand, and then scan and upload them to their own story. You can also compile the pictures yourself for a class compilation. The completed stories can be shared for free online or ordered as hardcover, paperback, or downloadable books.
